Project Updates
We encourage you to visit this page regularly to learn what is new during the campus development project at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital and how it may affect your visit.
All construction activities will take place during times that local ordinances allow. We will take steps to reduce the impacts of noise, dust and lighting. We expect the new pavilions to open in March 2026.
Maternity Patients Now Enter Through Main Lake Forest Hospital Entrance
Maternity patients and all inpatient visitors must enter through the main entrance. Our staff will help you get to your destination.
The Bays (900) Medical Building Entrance is Closed
Please use the McGaw (800) Medical Building entrance to access the Bays Medical Building. You can park in Lots 5 or 7 to enter the McGaw Medical Building.
Hospital Chapel
The hospital chapel has reopened.
Walking Trails
Most walking trails, including around the pond, have been reopened. You may be redirected around active construction jobsites on some paths
Signs are posted to redirect traffic. We are working closely with local first responders and private ambulance companies to communicate routes
to the Emergency Department.
